Prairie Style with Handicap Access

This newly constructed bathroom honors the prairie style in which the house was originally designed with period-inspired tiles and fixtures.  Team found glass blocks for the shower  that would match the original blocks in the exterior windows.  The bathroom is also virtually water proof with tile from floor to wainscoting.  Turn the shower on before you enter, keep your feet toasty with heated floors, and sit or stand over two levels of granite counter tops.  This home owner wanted to stay in their home during their golden years.  Team designed the bathroom using the principles of universal design, including grab bars, special door sizes and wheelchair access to the shower, toilet and tub.  Team is a Certified Aging in Place (CAPS) specialist.
